Foe to Friend Lightning shot across the sky as steel clashed upon a great open field. Soldiers clashed, and feral barks of wolves could be heard as they tore through armor and flesh. As lightning continued to surge, rain pelted down to the land, and rivers of blood flowed across the field. Soon nothing remained but the military tents of the generals, and upon seeing the field of death before them, left in satisfaction that the battle had been a tie, with the lives lost insignificant and meaningless. Trees swayed in the breeze, and the sun peeked over the horizon, and for a moment it almost seemed to fall before it continued to rise.

The young man opened his eyes and rose from bed before he looked around and stretched. "It's time for work already? The night just rushed by."
